Great to drive, practical interior, class-leading emissions, fine residuals.
Bland looks, rear headroom tight with panoramic roof.
Kuga may not be the most visually appealing 4x4, but under the skin it's one of the best.

The Kuga will be made available in just two trims, the Zetec and range-topping Titanium.
Zetec models have a long list of standard equipment that includes 17-inch alloys, a split tailgate, keyless go, electric heated front screen, iPod connection, Bluetooth connection and the firm's misfuelling technology.
Paying £2,000 to upgrade to the Titanium trim brings half leather, a premium sound system, cruise control, climate control, tinted glass and auto lamps and wipers.
Sounds simple, but Ford has also introduced a way of personalising the Kuga with packs that not only enlarge wheels up to 19-inch, but introduces parking sensors, full leather interior and bi-xenon lamps.
Comfort levels were generally high in the cars we drove. Cruising at motorway speeds also highlighted low levels of wind noise - a fine effort when you consider the size of the large door mirrors.
