Sharp drive, supple ride, cute looks.
Stingy on kit, limited space for adults in rear, lacks charm of Fiat 500.
The Ka out-drives the 500, but loses out on value and desirability.

Running costs are low, as you would expect from a city car.
The 68bhp 1.2 averages 55.4mpg and emits 119g/km of carbon dioxide, meaning it slips into the cheaper VED Band B. Company car users will be pleased that it also slots into the lowest BIK tax obligation bracket of just 10%.
The diesel returns 67.3mpg while emitting 112g/km of carbon dioxide, putting it into the same VED Band B and the slightly more expensive 13% BIK tax bracket.
It's worth pointing out that the diesel will only make financial sense to those covering high mileages. Its £700 price premium and the current cost disparity between unleaded and diesel mean that the slightly better fuel economy won't necessarily be an advantage.
