Running Costs

The Ford Focus is fractionally more fuel efficient and less polluting than a DSG-equipped Volkswagen Golf 2.0-litre diesel. With the Powershift gearbox mated to the 134bhp 2.0-litre diesel, it averages 48.6mpg and emits 154g/km of carbon dioxide. That betters the 159g/km and 47.1mpg Volkswagen claims.

Both Golf and the new Focus Powershift are in VED Band D.
