Ford Focus Review

Used Value3 out of 5

Oversupply has always been the downfall of high-volume vehicles and the Ford Focus is no exception.

To help improve residuals for the range with the introduction of the 2008 model, Ford GB has ditched the base LX model: unloved by used buyers. Ford claims the LX was responsible for dragging down the range's average resale values.

Used car experts reckon the Focus's resale values will start to improve, but not by much. Zetec and Titanium models with Powershift will retain 35-36% of their value three years and 30,000 miles down the line. That's not particularly wonderful when you consider that the equivalent Golf retains a far superior 47% of its original value.
