Ford Focus Review

Running Costs4 out of 5

Aimed squarely at the business buyers, in addition to the retail market, the Focus should be one of the cheapest cars on sale to repair, service and maintain.

For 2008, running costs should plummet further with the introduction of a revised 1.6 TDCi engine, available in all variants, which produces a maximum of 120g/km of CO2. This will at the very least attract the lowest VED rate and could see the Focus exempt from the London congestion charge should the new proposals get approval. All this while averaging a very respectable 62.7mpg on the combined cycle.
