Ford Focus CC Review

Safety and Security4 out of 5

There's extra bracing to compensate for the loss of the roof and even the basic CC-1 spec level includes front-seat side airbags and rollover bars that pop up behind the rear seats if the car's sensors feel an accident coming on. Stability control is a £250 extra. The brake pedal is set up to feel slightly spongy, but there's no shortage of braking power.

Unlike a soft-top convertible, a CC should be as hard to break into as any tin-top. If your local criminals do find a way in, the Thatcham Category 1 alarm that's fitted as standard should see them off pretty sharpish.
