Not sporty, but a nice-looking car that's cheap to run.

Fiat Bravo Review

Running Costs5 out of 5

Service intervals have been extended to 22,000 miles for this 1.6-litre diesel engine, and service charges/labour rates at Fiat dealerships are usually competitive.

The 1.6 Eco scores with its fuel consumption - 62.8mpg, though if you take advantage of its high-revving engine for full performance, you'll be lucky to get near that - and Band B tax rating. Day to day, it should be cheap to run, as long as it doesn't go wrong (though the warranty should take care of any issues). The biggest cost will be depreciation (loss in value), but given the discounts around and the low initial purchase price, even that shouldn't be too painful.
