Over 60mpg; Band B tax; quick off the mark; Bravo's attractive styling and five-star NCAP score.
Dead-feeling steering; poor low-speed ride; uninspiring handling.
Not sporty, but a nice-looking car that's cheap to run.

The Fiat Bravo's predecessor, the Stilo, was pretty dubious, though its glitches should not have been carried over to this new model. We can't help but be suspicious, however, as Fiat's reputation for build quality - and customer service at its dealerships - is still poor, despite recent efforts to improve the standards of both its production output and its aftersales support.
Subjectively, the Bravo looks better-finished than the Stilo, though some cheap touches do remain in the interior. The black-upholstered Dynamic-spec cabin is nice-looking, however, with some good plastics and soft velour upholstery. It's a decent effort.
