Fiat Bravo 1.6 Multijet 120 (2008-) Review

Category: Small Family 3 out of 5

Summary of the Fiat Bravo 1.6 Multijet 120 (2008-)

Price Range: £13,255 to £17,650

Assets

Smooth, willing and flexible 1.6 diesel engines, good economy.

Drawbacks

Uninspiring handling, patchy interior, lack of steering feel, low-speed ride.

Verdict

This 1.6 diesel engine is one of the best options in the Bravo range - though the low-emissions 105bhp version is better still.

Fiat Bravo Review

Reliability and Quality3 out of 5

In a bid to improve satisfaction and quality among its customers, Fiat has questioned new Bravo buyers (many of whom are new to the brand) to find out how satisfied they are with the ownership experience.

In most cases Bravo buyers reported being generally pleased with their cars, with many claiming they were 'very satisfied', except in one area.

Owners reported that their cars were only 'average' in their reliability. 'Average' might be progress for a brand with Fiat's reputation, but it's not very reassuring when you're stranded at the side of the road.

Inside, at least, you can see how far Fiats have come. The soft-touch plastic may not be to everyone's taste - and neither might the grades, colours and textures of some of the cheap-feeling plastics - but it all seems well assembled, with impressive panel gaps and paintwork.
