Category: Convertibles 4 out of 5

Summary of the Fiat 500C (2009-)

Price Range: £11,700 to £14,500

Assets

Ultra-chic, easy-to-use roof, remarkably civilised drive.

Drawbacks

Poor rear visibility, reflected light blinds instruments, 1.2-litre engine sometimes struggles.

Verdict

Refined, easy to use, well made and great to look at: it's worth the hefty price hike.

Fiat 500C Review

Safety and Security5 out of 5

No less than seven airbags are standard on the 500C and strategic bolstering of its roofless body has allowed it to retain its full five-star occupant protection rating from Euro NCAP.

ABS is standard across the range, with skid-countering ESP (with brake assist) standard on all models apart from the 1.2 petrol.
