Performance from roaring V8. Handles pretty well too. Should be well equipped and good value
Doesn't feel as well built as a 911. Left-hand-drive only. Manual gearbox industrial, auto 'box poor. Interior quality not up to European standards.
A proper sports car with a lot of character. Practical enough for daily use.

High, but not as high as some supercars. And despite that 6.0-litre engine, fuel consumption is far from the worst of it. Official figures suggest 21mpg, which is reasonable. You'll get more from the version with Magnetic Selective Ride Control, because the gearing's even longer, while the auto's somewhere in between. Tyres will be expensive of course, and insurance could be a real headache because the 'Vette's rare and left-hand-drive. Service intervals are determined by an on-board meter and traditionally US cars aren't too fussy. There won't be many dealers, which could prove a nuisance, and don't expect depreciation to be as solid as a 911's - it won't be.
