Category: Exotic Sports 4 out of 5

Summary of the Honda NSX (1991-2005)

Assets

Fast, beautifully made, easy to drive.

Drawbacks

Lacks ultra-fine edge of driver appeal for some; dowdy, dated interior.

Verdict

One of the less-acknowledged greats and a future classic.

Review

Reliability and Quality4 out of 5

The NSX is as dependable as any other Honda, so you can forget the finicky demands associated with most other supercars. Owners have reported damage to the rear suspension (it's got such a low ride height), rapid wear to tyres - usually sorted quickly by proper wheel alignment - and the occasional electrical problem, but nothing more major or sinister. If buying a second-hand NSX, don't accept anything less than a full Honda or specialist service history, however, as correct oil changes are crucial to the high-revving engine.
