Stunning looks, beautiful cabin, exceptional performance, ease of driving.
Size, weight, cramped interior, questionmarks over sequential transmission.
A traffic-stopping supercar with impressive handling, but its size and weight count against it as a real back-road performer.

The price-tag suggests that anybody considering a Vanquish won't worry about running costs. Still, the engine won't sip any slower than 16 mpg and the servicing bills are likely to run into many hundreds, even for routine work. It's only as the car ages and gains mileage that visits to the dealer are likely to turn into four-figure adventures. Remember, this is a complex and highly sophisticated machine. Replacing the automatic clutch could be a more common event than owners expect and the bill hefty. However, with a two-year waiting list and limited production, massive depreciation is unlikely to be a problem. The limited production run of just 300 cars per year means the Vanquish will be in demand for some time to come. Moreover, 70 per cent of production will be heading outside the UK, placing a further premium on right-hand-drive examples. It's very hard to make sensible judgements about the value of a car of this price. It's nearly twice as expensive as the Porsche 911 Turbo, which easily matches it for sheer pace. Priced to compete with the Ferrari 550M and 456 GT, the Vanquish is better looking than both and feels much better engineered, especially inside.
