Goes like a Porsche 911, costs half as much. Handles well on smooth roads.
Left-hand drive only. Very wide for British roads.
A little crude, a little eccentric in Europe, but certainly exciting.

Not too thirsty - 20mpg is possible - and insurance can be surprisingly reasonable if you seek out a specialist or classic car policy. Even servicing isn't too bad; all parts can be ordered online from the US if you DIY, and it's a relatively simple car to work on anyway. It should be cheaper to run than a comparably quick European exotic.
