Goes like a Porsche 911, costs half as much. Handles well on smooth roads.
Left-hand drive only. Very wide for British roads.
A little crude, a little eccentric in Europe, but certainly exciting.

The Corvette was always America's only serious sports car, and even with the arrival of the brutish Chrysler Dodge Viper, it remains the most sophisticated. That's a relative term, mind; a Jaguar XK8, Mercedes SL320 or Nissan Skyline make the Corvette seem a little rough around the edges. But it's a fabulously quick car for the money, well-equipped and enormous fun to drive if the road isn't bumpy or narrow. And it looks like, well, not too far short of a million dollars.
