Beautiful styling, sophisticated manners and tuneful engines.
Looks and feels dated now. Suffers from scuttle shake on bumpy roads, small boot, chassis struggles to deliver V6 grunt.
Bigger and less aggressive than some rival roadsters but still desirable.

The 2.0 Spider will return decent economy if driven sensibly (the official combined figure is 31mpg) and has slightly cheaper servicing costs than the Mercedes and BMW competition. Insurance costs are average for the class. The 3.0 V6 is actually little less economical, giving 29mpg, though its carbon-dioxide output is high at 278g/km - high tax, then. The 2.0 produces 220g/km.
