Good diesel, nicely styled, good interior quality, reliability.
Petrol engines struggle a little, rear pair of seats tiny, all seats short in the base.
Competitive compact MPV with decent blend of looks and practicality. Prices and reliability make it an attractive buy.

Although the Corolla Verso has seven seats, few circumstances will let you use all of them. The middle row of three slides independently back and forth, but even in their foremost position, the two in the back will feel pretty hard done by. With the middle row of seats in a normal position, rear occupants will need to be children to fit. And in an effort to cram in those three rows, all of the seat bases are short - most noticeably so in the middle row. Driver and front-passengers might notice a slight lack of lower back support from the seat backs, but those two seats are height adjustable, and the steering wheel also adjusts for reach and rake.
As usual, the price and equipment levels are extremely competitive. Three trim levels: T2, T3 and T Spirit. All models (from under £15k) get nine airbags, seven three-point seatbelts, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS, remote central locking with card-key and push-button start, electric front windows, a CD player and manual air conditioning. Full climate control, electric rears, alloy wheels, and stability control come on T3 versions while the T Spirit gets an in-car entertainment system with headrest-mounted DVD screens.
