Good diesel, nicely styled, good interior quality, reliability.
Petrol engines struggle a little, rear pair of seats tiny, all seats short in the base.
Competitive compact MPV with decent blend of looks and practicality. Prices and reliability make it an attractive buy.

Very good. The petrol engines are in band C for CO2 emissions, while the D4-D diesel sits in band B, and is Euro IV compliant, avoiding an extra 3 percent tax penalty for being a diesel. Fuel consumption's around 37mpg for the petrols, 46mpg for the diesel. Residual values should prove fairly strong; most buyers will be private or business user-choosers. Toyota won't offer big discounts and chase fleet sales and this should be reflected in the Verso's residual values. Insurance costs are low, at group 5E (diesel) and 6E (petrol), and Toyota also claims low repair and maintenance costs. Service intervals are every 10,000 miles for a minor check including oil and filter change and 20,000 miles for major service.
