Toyota Corolla Verso (2004-) Review

Category: Compact MPV 4 out of 5

Summary of the Toyota Corolla Verso (2004-)

Price Range: No data available

Assets

Good diesel, nicely styled, good interior quality, reliability.

Drawbacks

Petrol engines struggle a little, rear pair of seats tiny, all seats short in the base.

Verdict

Competitive compact MPV with decent blend of looks and practicality. Prices and reliability make it an attractive buy.

Review

Safety and Security4.5 out of 5

Toyota has obtained the top, five-star rating in EuroNCAP's independent crash tests. There are nine airbags fitted as standard: two front 'bags, four side 'bags, two curtain items and a knee 'bag to prevent the driver's legs hitting the dashboard. ISOFIX child seat mounts are fitted to the rear seats. All models get anti-lock brakes, and stability control is available on the higher-spec T3 and T-Spirit models. As an option, there's the Cornering Assist camera, but we wouldn't recommend trusting it at blind corners (see Fact File for a full description of this system).
