Excellent drive, good choice of engines
Little to distinguish between it and Altea, only good for four
The Toledo doesn't mark itself out from the excellent Altea MPV enough, which could confuse potential buyers.
The Toledo is based on the Altea, which in turn is built on the same platform as the latest Volkswagen Golf, Audi A3 and Skoda Octavia. There have been few problems with these models so far, and the engines used in the Toledo are common across the rest of the VAG family. Quality of finish both inside and out on the early cars we tested was high, so expect it to stand up well to daily use.
