Category: Compact MPV
Price Range: £9,995 to £11,795
Roomy and practical, easy to fold and remove seats, inexpensive to own and run.
Choppy ride, not particularly stylish, short on equipment.
Styling will divide opinion, but the Nemo is an interesting and practical alternative to a traditional MPV.

The Nemo Multispace is available with a choice of two engines: a 1.4 petrol unit generating 75bhp and 87lb-ft of torque, and a 1.4 HDi diesel producing 70bhp and 118lb-ft.
Both engines need working hard because they lack urge under acceleration. The Nemo cruises happily at 70mph on the motorway, but it just takes a while to get there. The petrol model will take you from 0-62mph in 16.2 seconds and the diesel takes 18.2 seconds. This is not a car that you'd want to attempt much overtaking in.
The Nemo is, predictably, van-like in its driving characteristics and its height and shape doesn't yield fantastic results in tight corners. Although it struggles with a bit of body roll, it's also quite nifty and, other than a little understeer when it's being pushed hard, there are decent levels of grip.
The Nemo delivers a choppy ride, however, and it's fidgety on less-than-perfect road surfaces.
It's competent enough around town, however, with sharp and precise steering that makes it easy to manoeuvre and park. It benefits from excellent visibility too, thanks to its large windows and oversized wing mirrors.
