Amazingly light and airy cabin, lots of space, easy third-row access in the seven-seater, well finished and equipped, quiet and comfortable.
Pretty hefty for a 'compact' MPV, vague steering.
It's the most radical and futuristic compact MPV of all, an ideal family transport module for our times, available as a five- and seven-seater.

Airbags everywhere, of course, plus ABS and ESP. You can have headlights which steer round corners, too. In Euro NCAP crash tests, the Grand C4 Picasso scored five stars for adult occupant protection, three stars for child protection and two for pedestrian safety. The C4 Picasso is the only five-seat compact MPV with Isofix child seat fittings on all four passenger seats.
The really clever part is the way the C4 Picasso has been designed to provide modern levels of crash protection, yet manages it with much slimmer pillars than most MPVs, thus minimising the car's blind spots. This trick is achieved by designing the front end so that it channels frontal impact forces at or below waistline height, like a convertible, to which end it has three (instead of the usual two) impact-absorbing side beams in the frontal structure.
All versions get an immobiliser, remote central locking and deadlocks, but it's only on Exclusive models that an alarm comes as standard.
