Citroen C3 Review

Safety and Security4 out of 5

The C3 has scored respectably in the Euro NCAP crash tests, getting four stars for occupant protection and two for pedestrian protection. The steering wheel retracts by two inches in a frontal impact, curtain airbags can optionally augment the standard front and side 'bags, three three-point rear belts are standard and an indicator on the facia shows if the rear childproof door-locks are activated. An optional 'child pack' includes electric operation of these locks and an extra wide-angle rear-view mirror so you can watch what the children are doing. The seats have Isofix child-seat mountings. The boot locks automatically as soon as the C3 starts to move. ABS, EBD and Brake Assist are now standard for 2005 and ESP/traction control are optional too with Exclusive trim.
