Easy to drive, easy to own, good fuel consumption.
Price, hard ride, limited load-space, C2 now feels dated.
Sporty looks and excellent fuel economy are strong points, but it's not the best-value C2 in the range.

The C2 has achieved a creditable four-star result overall in the Euro NCAP crash tests, with three stars for child protection but just two for pedestrian protection.
Standard kit in the HDI VTS includes ABS anti-lock brakes, stability control, front and side airbags (side window airbags optional), front seat-belt pre-tensioners with force limiters but just two rear three-point seatbelts (not that you'd want to squeeze three people in the back, anyway).
It also gets an alarm and immobiliser, remote central locking with deadlocks and locking filler cap.
Watch out for those wheels, though: they could end up on someone else's Saxo, we've heard.
