Good to drive, refined engine, plenty of cabin space, slick paddleshift system.
Third row seats only for occasional use, thirsty.
C-Crosser is likeable and looks the part, but it's far from perfect.

Six airbags are fitted in the Citroen C-Crosser as standard. You get two front, two side and two full-length curtain airbags. There are Isofix child seat mounting points in all three of the rear seats.
The Mitsubishi Outlander, on which the C-Crosser is based, has scored a respectable four stars for overall occupant protection in the Euro NCAP crash tests, with particularly good results for side impact protection.
It also scored three (out of four) for child occupant protection. The C-Crosser hasn't been tested yet, but because it shares the same basic structure as the Mitsubishi, it should achieve similar results - though it may do better than the Outlander's two stars for pedestrian protection, with its different front-end design.
Safety systems installed to keep you out of trouble include ABS with Electronic Brake Distribution and stability control. Security-wise there's rolling-code immobiliser, a Thatcham Category 1 alarm, deadlocks, locking wheel nuts and visible VIN.
