Citroen Berlingo Multispace (2003-2008) Review

Category: Compact MPV 3.5 out of 5

Summary of the Citroen Berlingo Multispace (2003-2008)

Price Range: £10,295 to £15,065

Assets

Huge load space, more comfortable than you'd think, all-round practicality, quirkiness.

Drawbacks

Looks like a van, unnecessary roof height, no auto models, not as much safety kit as more car-like MPVs.

Verdict

An excellent practical purchase if you can live with the looks.

Citroen Berlingo Multispace Review

Reliability and Quality4 out of 5

Some of the interior plastics still feel a little cheap (well, what do you expect?) but the seat upholstery is much improved and should stand up well to family use/abuse. The technology may not be state-of-the-art, but it's all to a thoroughly tried-and-tested formula, and the Berlingo is generally well put together - there were few problems with the earlier model. The complex multiplex wiring is working well, too, with only a few minor teething troubles reported.
