An excellent practical purchase if you can live with the looks
Poor by modern standards, and a van-based design like this doesn't have the same degree of protection as a stand-alone MPV developed from the ground up as a passenger vehicle. Just a driver's airbag, no standard ABS on earlier examples, and no immobiliser or deadlocks either. And being tall and boxy, it can be affected by crosswinds on the motorway, which can be unnerving.
