Category: Compact MPV
Price Range: £10,295 to £15,065
Affordable; practical; large load-space; no-nonsense image; economical diesels.
Slow and still van-like to drive; neither as comfy or as safe as C4 Picasso.
No-frills family transport for those who like their MPVs unpretentious.

Citroen does not have the best reputation for reliability, but the first-generation earlier Berlingo Multispace was pretty tough. Bar a few reports of premature suspension wear, not much has gone wrong with these van-based models.
This new model may share its underpinnings with a less heavy-duty car, but most of the components are all well-proven (related vehicles include the C4, Peugeot 308, Partner and the Berlingo Multispace's sister model, the Peugeot Partner Teepee) and it's nowhere near as electrically/electronically complex as the C4 Picasso. It all looks well put-together, with the materials, plastics and fabrics of the interior as good as you'd expect for a vehicle of this type in this price bracket. Not bad at all.
