Unique image, excellent value for money, more character than rivals, good Mercedes diesel V6.
HEMI thirst, quality not on par with rivals, image may put some off.
The 300C is an executive car like no other and will divide opinion. We love it - others will hate it.

The 300C, offered in four-door saloon or Touring estate form, is the car that put Chrysler back on the map. Since its inaugural showing as a concept car in New York in 2003 and launch in America in 2004, it has picked up over 20 awards including accolades such as Hippest Car and America's Most Wanted Automobile of 2005, making its young designer Ralph Gilles one of the most sought-after in the business.
Chrysler had modest aspirations for the 300C this side of the Atlantic, but was pleasantly surprised by the demand; boosted by the addition of a diesel engine to the range, and the reasonably practical Touring estate option, the 300C has far outsold expectations.
The sensible option, which most UK buyers have taken, is the 3.0 V6 diesel, but there is also the petrol 3.5 V6, not to mention the 5.7 (335bhp) and 6.1 (425bhp) HEMI V8s& The latter engine is fitted in the sported-up SRT-8 .
