Unique image, spectacular looks, lots of character, good Mercedes diesel engine.
Thirsty HEMI petrol engine, rather brash, not actually that roomy for such a huge vehicle.
An executive car like no other - you'll either love it or hate it. We love it.

The 300C doesn't have quite as much rear legroom as you'd expect in a car this long, but two adults will fit comfortably in the back and the third won't be badly off in the middle, despite the intrusive transmission tunnel.
The front seats are heated and electrically-adjustable, deep and supportive, and while the roof is low, windows shallow and upholstery dark, the cabin does not feel claustrophobic.
The ride is generally smooth, with little wallow, though the SRT-8 is stiffer-sprung and with the larger wheels, is a bit unforgiving. The SRT Design models get the same 20-inch alloys, but are not as firmly set-up.
Standard equipment includes front fog lamps, electric/heated door mirrors, a CD/DVD player and MP3 input socket, sat nav and Bluetooth connectivity, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers and rear parking sensors.
SRT Design models have the MyGig hard-drive audio system, and the optional luxury pack adds MyGig plus sunroof and wood trim. Touring models have self-levelling rear suspension.
