BMW 7-Series Review

Running Costs3 out of 5

BMW has included its Efficient Dynamics package on the new 7-Series.

Low rolling resistance tyres, brake energy regeneration and a reduced kerbweight make the car much more efficient and far less thirsty. All this means that fuel bills on the 3.0-litre diesel, at least, will be acceptable. On average it will yield 39.2mpg and with carbon dioxide emissions at 192g/km it's in road tax band F. The company car tax rating is 34%. The V8 is the wallet-emptying option: 24.8mpg with 266g/km CO2 emissions and a band G tax rating. Company car tax rating is 35%.

The BMW 7-Series will be expensive to insure and sits in groups 17 to 20.
