This fourth-generation executive M-car from BMW lifts it into supercar territory. It has an amazing engine and the sort of performance that will give Ferrari owners a real fright. Meantime, it still does the business as a posh - but not too posh - executive saloon and - from mid-2007 - estate.
The Touring uses exactly the same engine and gearbox as the saloon, and gives near identical performance, but with the advantage of extra carrying capacity. It's the first M5 Touring offered with right-hand drive in the UK market.
