All 3-Series models retain their value very well indeed, and in convertible-crazy Britain, the convertible will make a great investment - no problems selling on for good money as long as it is serviced properly and the hood remains undamaged. Cars with sat nav and leather will be preferred, however, so it's worth specifying these options when new: they'll more than recoup their cost come resale time.
