Bentley Brooklands (2008-) Review

Category: Large Executive 4.5 out of 5

Summary of the Bentley Brooklands (2008-)

Price Range: £236,400 to £236,400

Assets

Captivating power delivery, exquisite and spacious interior, handles well.

Drawbacks

Hugely expensive to buy and run, ride comfort merely adequate.

Verdict

Probably the most characterful Bentley of the last half century. Better than we could have hoped.

Bentley Motors Brooklands Review

Running Costs1.5 out of 5

The Brooklands has a combined fuel consumption of 14.5mpg or, to put it another way, the cost of a return trip from London to Cardiff in fuel alone is the thick end of £100 at current prices.

In the current climate, perhaps more sobering still is the fact that if you drive your Brooklands to the south of France and back, you'll be responsible for pumping about a tonne of CO2 into the atmosphere.

So you not only need to be able afford to run the car, but also be able to take a rather robust view about what's coming out of its elegant, chromed and ovoid exhausts.
