Captivating power delivery, exquisite and spacious interior, handles well.
Hugely expensive to buy and run, ride comfort merely adequate.
Probably the most characterful Bentley of the last half century. Better than we could have hoped.

Because the Brooklands is largely hand-made, it's likely to prove less reliable long-term than the much more highly automated Continental series of cars - though that is conjecture on our part. The only creaks in the car we drove at the launch came from backsides meeting the exquisite leather that covers most of the inside of this car.
And because all Bentleys now have to meet VW standards of quality control, there's no reason to suspect the Brooklands will be anything less than a highly dependable long-term prospect.
And as for quality: how does 16 hides, almost half a kilometre of thread stitched 43,507 times sound to you? If your sitting room contains materials of half this quality, you are likely either to living in a family home handed down through the generations or in urgent need of a trip to the Antiques Roadshow.
