Bentley Arnage (1998-) Review

Category: Large Executive 3.5 out of 5

Summary of the Bentley Arnage (1998-)

Price Range: £200,400 to £200,400

Assets

Wonderful cabin ambience, comfort, heady turn of speed, exclusivity and hand-crafted appeal.

Drawbacks

Price, obviously, and the fact that mass-made cars are better made.

Verdict

Hugely soulful, though hardly rational.

Bentley Motors Arnage Review

Comfort and Equipment3 out of 5

The huge, soft seats are multi-adjustable, and there are lots of considerate touches like reading lights and drink-holders. Ride comfort is excellent for a sporting car, the heating and ventilation is terrific, and the quietness balming. It all gives you a huge sense of well-being. There's lots of space up front and in the boot. But for a car that might sometimes be driven by a chauffeur, leg-stretching space in the back could be better. The fundamental silence and size of the car make it a natural concert-hall, and the standard Alpine unit, with CD, does a good job of filling it. A nice touch is a remote-control unit so rear passengers can take charge.
