Audi TTS Roadster (2008-) Review

Category: Roadsters 4 out of 5

Summary of the Audi TTS Roadster (2008-)

Price Range: No data available

Assets

Great wind-in-your-hair thrills, fantastic S-tronic gearbox; positive handling and look-at-me style.

Drawbacks

There are still more affordable TT Convertible variants that do the job just as well.

Verdict

A very fine sporting roadster, but not quite as special-feeling as a Porsche Boxster.

Audi TTS Roadster Review

Running Costs3 out of 5

The TTS will be cheaper than the 3.2 V6 on a day-to-day basis: it returns a respectable 34.4mpg with manual gearbox (35.3mpg with the S-tronic) and emits 194g/km of carbon dioxide (190g/km with S-tronic). This keeps it out of the dreaded tax Band G, escaping the £25-a-day London congestion charge and other nasties.

Insurance won't be cheap, though, and Audi dealers can be expensive for maintenance, servicing and accident repair work.
