All the attributes of the standard TT; great S-tronic gearbox; civilised ride and road behaviour
Not enough of an advance over the other variants
A very fine sports car, but not quite as special-feeling as a Cayman, nor as full-on as a Z4 M Coupe

The TTS will be cheaper than the 3.2 V6 on a day-to-day basis: it returns a respectable 35.3mpg with manual gearbox (35.8mpg with the S-tronic) and emits 191g/km of carbon dioxide (188g/km with S-tronic). This keeps it out of the dreaded tax Band G, escaping the £25-a-day London congestion charge and other nasties. Insurance won't be cheap, though, and Audi dealers can be expensive for maintenance, servicing and accident repair work. It drinks Super Plus unleaded, too.
