The superbly-engineered TT is as good as ever - if not quite as exclusive as it once was
The part-aluminium TT has been an unqualified success for Audi, both as a coupe and in roadster form.
Even must-have design classics need updating, though, and this Mk2 model is a more sporting drive, its styling is a little bit more aggressive and it's roomier inside.
The two-seater roadster has kept its folding fabric roof, which stows away at the touch of a button into the generously-sized boot.
Versions on offer in the UK are the front-wheel-drive 2.0 T FSI (200bhp) and four-wheel-drive 3.2 V6 Quattro. The S-Tronic automated 'manual' gearbox, a new version of the DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) offered in other Volkswagen-Audi models, is a £1,400 option in either in place of the standard six-speed manual 'box.
