Audi TT (2006-) Review

Category: Affordable Sports 4 out of 5

Summary of the Audi TT (2006-)

Price Range: £25,210 to £33,390

Assets

Fabulous cabin, still looks terrific, a much better car to drive than the previous model.

Drawbacks

Not the styling sensation the original was - and that's about it.

Verdict

Audi chose not to mess too much with a winning formula, opting instead to improve upon the original in just about every area.

Service intervals are determined by the on-board computer, and drivers who give their TT a relatively easy life - with lots of motorway miles, for instance - will find it doesn't need attention more frequently than every 19,000 miles. Audi dealers' service departments aren't cheap, but at least you won't be there very often.

The 2.0-litre TFSI delivers reasonable fuel consumption, too, at 36.4mpg overall, and insurance should be relatively affordable and reasonable for this type of powerful sports car. The comparable roadster figure is 36.2mpg; the V6's combined consumption is a less impressive 27.1.
