Audi engineers have to be praised for the exceptional job they have done in regards to the TT RS' low running costs.
On average it will return 30.7mpg while emitting 214g/km of carbon dioxide. The less-powerful Porsche Cayman S comes close to matching the Audi's best efforts returning 29.7mpg and emitting 223g/km of CO2. The TT RS shares the same VED band K for road tax with the Porsche but thanks to its lower CO2 is a couple of per cent cheaper in company car tax with its 30% Benefit-in-Kind tax bill.
