Audi R8 Review

Comfort and Equipment4 out of 5

The R8's suspension is firmer as previously stated, but this does not stop it riding unusually well for such a hardcore performance machine. Really sharp ridges can transmit the odd jolt to the cabin but, most of the time, it feels supremely well damped and nothing less than a pleasure in which to spend hour after hour.

Other contributing factors to this fine sense of well being are low levels of wind and road noise (and even the engine is quite quiet unless you stand on the throttle), a fine driving position and sensible ergonomics. For decades Porsche has enjoyed an almost uninterrupted reputation as the manufacturer of the world's only truly usable supercars, but this Audi suggests very strongly that those days are over.
