There's nothing out of the ordinary on the safety front here: you get front and side airbags as you'd expect plus all the electronic trickery. One interesting claim to fame however, is that the R8 V10 is the first car in the world to have entirely LED lighting front and rear as standard. Not only does this help you see out, it also makes you highly visible and distinctive to other road users, which will hopefully add to its active safety credentials. However as it is not possible to record accidents that don't happen, it's not the matter of a moment to say by how much.
