Verdict

New V12 diesel is mind-bendingly quick, but the rest of the car can't keep up.

Audi Q7 Review

Reliability and Quality4 out of 5

Audi was placed seventh for satisfaction in the most recent JD Power survey, proving the brand must be doing something right.

The Q7 is too new to have been featured in the survey, but other Audi models prove the company isn't immune from the odd gremlin, especially electrical ones.

Excellent interior quality is vital at this end of the price scale and the Q7 makes a decent stab at it. The plastics feel expensive to the touch, while plenty of chrome and brushed aluminium brighten up a dark, classy cabin. But it misses the sense of occasion delivered by top-drawer rivals such as the Bentley Continental GT. Ironic, since the Bentley plunders much of its interior from the Audi parts bin.
