As the sporting answer to the luxury segment, the A8 doesn't come across as all that sporting, but it is competent and accomplished. As a follow-up to the previous A8, it's the car you could have predicted Audi would make, if not the car you'd hoped it might




The mammoth depreciation means that second-hand A8s are relatively cheap, especially at three or four years old, and if they've come off a luxury-hire fleet. Buying a used example has always been the best way into an A8. Just bear in mind that it will still incur the other running costs of a £50K motor.
