Audi A8 Review

Comfort and Equipment3.5 out of 5

Excellent, in a firmly sprung, efficient German way. The car's seats are quite firm and well-shaped and the ride crisp, if a little pattery on some models. There's a real pleasure to be had up front, such is the subtle excellence of the cabin design: it's a lovely place to sit. The beautifully designed controls also add to the experience. There's an excellent dual-zone air-con system. The car's very quiet, too. This is a massive cabin, although the Mercedes S-class probably has more space in the back. There's a huge boot, too. It's hard to carry three adults in the back due to the shaping of the seat. All A8s get one of Audi's own-brand unique-fit radio cassette head units with a CD multichanger in the boot. A fine sound is assured, but the optional Bose system is electrifying.
