Audi A8 Review

Safety and Security4 out of 5

The Audi's aluminium chassis uses some clever 'crush' technology to handle impacts, but then for more than a decade Audi has built some of the safest cars around. Inside it gets twin airbags, side-impact bags, anti-lock brakes and electronic traction control. The quattro transmission adds masses of traction, stability and confidence in poor weather. Security is reasonable, but the A8 lacks the thief-beating deadlocks that are fitted to cheaper Audis.
