Class-leading space and a marvellous cabin, off-the-scale quality, five star score in EuroNCAP crash tests, sharp-suited Avant estate brilliant for practicality.
Not the most sporting car in the class, evolutionary styling quite conservative.
Great space and a terrific atmosphere in the cabin make the A6 an absolute must for the executive shopping list.

Build quality has been one of the most compelling arguments in Audi's favour, and the A6 does nothing to change that. In fact, the body structure has been made a further 34 percent more torsionally rigid, reducing the likelihood that rattles and squeaks will find their way into the car's shell. More importantly, the A6 feels like such a quality piece - that's partly to do with the attention to detail, such as those gorgeous interior door handles crafted out of solid aluminium. Even the gnarled wood inserts festooning high-spec models often coming off as tacky on other executive models - seems tasteful. That sense of quality materials being used continues with virtually every interior surface that your hands come into contact with. Externally, panel fit and finish are pretty much beyond reproach.
