Drives as well as A4 Avant, butch looks, fine fuel consumption, increased towing capacity.
Limited off-road ability, expensive.
It's difficult to makes a case for the A4 Allroad over the excellent Q5.
Audi owners are a satisfied bunch. The brand was placed a fine seventh in the most recent 2008 JD Power survey while the A4 itself finished 20th out of 100. Owners did report more faults on average compared to BMW or Mercedes drivers but engineers have promised the all-new model will turn this around with more durability testing and improved component reliability.
Inside, the A4 continues to lead the class for fit, feel and finish, so we have few complaints there. We do think the plastic around both the instrument panel and centre console would be better if it had a satin finish rather than the cheap-looking shiny finish.
