Looks smart, nice cabin, well-built, economical.
Expensive, poor rearward visibility, small boot, not terribly sporting.
Desirable but pricey. Justified by its good road manners and strong resale values.

A rather disappointing four-star result for overall adult occupant protection in the Euro NCAP crash tests; rivals such as the Volvo C30 and BMW 1-Series have scored the full five. Just three stars for child protection and only one for pedestrian protection, too.
Standard equipment is comprehensive, however: front, side and curtain airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, three rear three-point seatbelts, front and rear-seat Isofix child seat mounting points, stability control, plus a Thatcham Category 1 alarm and immobiliser.
